Terms of Service

These are the simple terms for using Tandem. By using the app or this site, you agree to them.

Beta

Tandem is in beta. Things will change, break, or go away. Do not rely on it as the only copy of anything important, and keep your projects in git.

Your account

You sign in with Google. Keep your account secure and tell us if you think someone else is using it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Your AI providers

Tandem works through AI tools you already use, such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode or local models. You are responsible for following those providers' terms, usage limits and policies, and for their costs. Tandem does not resell or proxy model usage and is not responsible for what those providers do.

Your content

Your projects, code and memory are yours. We do not claim ownership. You give us only the permission needed to store and sync what you choose to share with your team so that Tandem can work. You are responsible for what your agents write and run, and for reviewing it before you merge or ship it. Agents can make mistakes.

Acceptable use

Do not use Tandem to break the law, attack or harm others, build malware, get around other services' rules or limits, infringe someone's rights, or interfere with Tandem or its servers. Do not try to access other people's projects or data.

Teams

Members of a shared project can see what is shared in it, including the project memory and team sessions. Invite people you trust. Project owners can remove members.

No warranty

Tandem is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, lost profits, or costs from AI providers. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the past 12 months or 100 US dollars. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Ending

You can stop using Tandem at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or to protect the service or other users.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters we will update the date above and tell you in the app. Continuing to use Tandem means you accept the updated terms.
